Description
This original acrylic and colored pencil on MASA paper was designed as one of a diptych in pursuit of familiarity with felted rice paper. There is a luminescence and dimensional depth I am finding extremely pleasing. It was also inspired by my desire to gift a friend, Evelyn, who is flying in tomorrow for a gal’s visit and belated birthday celebration! I usually hostess a Tea in her honor with Mary and invite our mutual friend Bettyann and do a gift exchange! This year Mary is hostessing and I decided to gift her with heArt in her favorite colour, Blue!!
A whirlwind week ahead...in the beautiful month of May...teacups will be readied and much laughter will be shared. Enjoy...this makes BEAUTIFUL product art!
May 28, 2022…Rest In peace, Evelyn. I am so grateful you had a brief time to enjoy the blanket along with this original mixed batik. I will always think of the 25 years of friendship tea parties I hosted in your honor when you flew in to visit Mary and the resultant friendship over blue themed, laughter-filled moments shared and gals day outings taken in thise whirlwind weekends

Janet, It is a WONDERful experience!…check out FAA- Conni Schaftenaar’s many many tutorials in her amazing rice paper ventures …she gives tutorial info within her image descriptions and even has a techniques thread in our group, The Artist BUZzz!
