Title
BUDs Bumblebee Iris
Artist
Laurel Adams
Medium
Drawing - Colour Pencil
Description
This original color pencil rendering is an In-Process, REAL TIME drawing on 400 series Smooth paper, beginning with my best friend’s bumblebee iris miniature which I gifted her three years ago and has FINALLY bloomed! We ooh’d and aww’d over tea and I asked for reference photographs. I think this was worth the wait! Truly a beautiful garden addition as well as Great product Art! Stay tuned over the next few days to see how it finishes...

NOTE: Within the controversial distinction of CP “drawing” or “painting” lies artist definition. My definition: when the surface is ENTIRELY burnished, I classify as a Painting; when any exposed Paper Is part of the composition or background, I classify as a drawing. I render both.
