This original colored pencil painting of varied hybrid irises was rendered in three real time phases, each being offered for a separate view thanks to the wonders of technology. This is the fourth and final Painted COLLAGE! The inspiration for this lies in the profusion of hybrid Iris bloom that FINALLY sprang forth after a three year anticipation. As such, each iris: bumblebee miniature, black iris, and French can-can were rendered, reference-photographed In part and are now offered in the composite garden of Laurelland! The real specimens are from both my and my best friend, Mary’s actual gardens. Feel free to stop and smell the Irises...my favorite of Flowers, symbolic of both Divinity and Royalty.
NOTE: Within the controversial distinction of CP “drawing” or “painting” lies artist definition. My definition: when the surface is ENTIRELY burnished, I classify as a Painting; when any exposed Paper Is part of the composition or background, I classify as a drawing. I render both.

What a lovely glimpse of an exotic garden! Continuing the home interior design theme - this wonderful creating would look great as a tile mural on a kitchen of bathroom wall, one would imagine a dreamy garden surrounding the house outside, even if the house is situated inside a busy city, and this is an upper-storey apartment.
