Description
This second attempt of TEA and ACRYLIC on MASA felt with COLOR PENCIL was wet, crinkled, glued onto 140 lb. backing paper and COLOR PENCIL was used to complete the scene that large surface wrinkles Inspired. The foreground trees and branches are wrinkles that have been highlighted with pencil to preserve the texture. The image does not adequately capture the subtle textures and details of this delicate paper. This study was rendered simultaneously with the lilac study entitled “ Smoke on the Mountain and Fire in the Water”.
Both were rendered with a REAL TIME eye to a LOGO for the DBCS 16. Mixed Media Contest upload, scheduled for tomorrow evening. Join me for REAL TIME PLAY in mixed media of your choice for contest entry?

Truly amazing artwork! Such a great experiment with tea, acrylic and color pencil on felt. The purples in the foreground flow nicely into the foggy blues in the background. The bear trees and bushes contrast well with the bright yellow highlights.
