Description
This original-digital remake of my Colour Pencil painting “Throwing Dreams” is another enhancement in a 2024 project venture for refining/ transitioning my portfolio’s traditional CP media into boldly light infused digital overpaintings. I am quite excited about this and will be positioning both versions side by side in my gallery. An aggressive undertaking? Perhaps, but would you expect anything else in Laurelland?…:-))
I experimented with colour gradient and other curve and other Luminance pen and brush tools in Procreate for iPad then added hand painted Luminance pen details for the magical midnight POP! I am SOoo excited about how the digitally enhanced effects look on the product line too!
To date, this is my most aggressive transitioned artpiece.

Quite a task you've set yourself, but I'm sure you WILL prevail! It is seriously fun and "illuminating" to see what the Levels, Curves, Brightness/Contrast tools in software like Procreate and Photoshop will do to a painting (or a photo!). I love the idea that you will position your digital remakes next to the original hand art, too!
