Description
This original colour pencil painting on Duralar of a courting swan couple is the second painting in a now triptych which was inspired by my NJ friend, SharI Fulper’s morning woodland “westie-walk” and photographs! She sent several images of the poses often found in traditionally painted poses but this one caught my eye. One frequently sees the classic heart shaped face-off but this majestic reaching upward ritual is such an elegant phase of their love-dance.
NOTE: Within the controversial distinction of CP “drawing” or “painting” lies artist definition. My definition: when the surface is ENTIRELY burnished, I classify as a Painting; when any exposed Paper Is part of the composition or background, I classify as a drawing. I render both.
