This original full size cold press sheet has it all...Bird of Paradise floral beauties, fluidity, dance and elegance and is part of the artist's personal collection. This piece was painted from one half dozen REAL birds from a local florist and patron of my art who displayed my artwork and cards. Most often my sales generated were recycled back into unique florals from her woodland and exotic arrangement mixes. She treated me to these unopened exotics at her cost and I painted them in various stages of development. The light background studies are the young birds and the more developed center front triad are the mid maturing ones. I painted the full blooms in another duet. I painted them to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake...and the title seems apt to its composition.
