Description
FACE MASK ART: https://pixels.com/profiles/laurel-adams/shop/face+masks
This original Coloured Pencil rendering with pure watercolour background wash offers the FINAL QUENCHING of my desire to portray the Exquisite, soul piercing Beauty of Springtime en noire!! This beauty usually blooms in my April birth month. When it does, it possesses my attention, teases my desire to claim it for Indoor display KNOWING that, should I succumb, satisfaction will be short lived. And so, I make my hourly pilgrimage to its beauty until it withers and a piece of my heArt dies with it until the anticipation of its Beauty the year thereafter!
Stanley Horowitz is quoted to have said: “Winter is an etching, Spring a watercolour, Summer an oil painting and Autumn a mosaic of them all.” I am caught between the seasons... you decide.
NOTE: Within the controversial distinction of CP “drawing” or “painting” lies artist definition. My definition: when the surface is ENTIRELY burnished, I classify as a Painting; when any exposed Paper Is part of the composition or background, I classify as a drawing. I render both.

Ruth, so do I! I am not fond of neatly trimmed mounded bushes around my home but have the French country vibe of glorious tributes to Monet …generously breaking free among the shrubbery..:-)). Thank you so much…one of my personal space favs.

Simply stunning! (I too am an iris lover -- and have many, many in my backyard!)
