Description
This Neurographic Artpiece of two sisters and a baby against a richly symbolized background was rendered in response to FAA friend, Angela Davies’ Mother’s Day inspired Neurographica entitled:”Free to be”. Thank you, Angela; you were right. There was a visceral flow of continuous line (beginning and ending offsides) with symbolic Neural, intersection points which made for a very personal “awareness collage” of sorts as Mother’s Day approaches. I have arranged for my one remaining friend of 50+ years who still lives locally to visit my mom with special treats in the hopes of re-creating culinary memories and creating new floral ones. There has been much personal change-loss-growth in the last eight months which is causing me to “accept” relational dynamics. Opening one’s heaArtspace as well as one’s mind is proving to be integral for acceptance, forgiveness and healing of that which will probably never be fully understood; however, I am learning thru this aging process, very little of one’s life script is understood by the actors. and I am capable of editing at any time. That REALLY helps.
“This artwork was created using Neurographic Art techniques as developed by Pavel Piskarev in 2014.”

Dear Laurel, what a powerful, beautiful, and inspiring work of art, brimming with so much emotion, and as Marsha so wisely said, many levels of meaning. You put all of yourself into all of your work, and the results always touch my heart so deeply. F

Creating this had to be a very intense experience. It is beautiful, and like most things that are truly beautiful, it has many levels of meaning. I suspect that this was both painful and liberating to create.

A lovely tribute, Laurel, to your recent journey of reconnecting with your mother - a challenging effort, yet I perceive more "good" for you than negative. F

So very beautiful and obviously deeply meaningful for you. So happy to read how therapeutic this was for you to create as well. Indeed this line "...I am learning thru this aging process, very little of one’s life script is understood by the actors..." resonates profoundly with me, and no doubt with many reading..

Thanks for the share in Discussion thread and for the lovely description of your work and why you created it. Family dynamics are always hard to understand at the time and sometimes even looking back remain unresolved. My kudos for your trying to resolve some of them in your neurographic drawing. LF
